Feb. 14 / Jim McCutcheon
Classical Guitar @ 5:30pm, Saturday, January 24th
A familiar and well-loved presence in our space, we’re glad to have Jim with us again. He teaches guitar full-time at the University of Dayton, mentors a wide network of instructors through McCutcheon Music, and is a recipient of the Ohio Governor’s Award for the Arts. For decades, his influence has quietly shaped students, schools, and the broader creative life of the Miami Valley.
Feb. 21 / Noah Ramirez & Trio
Jazz Trio @ 5:30pm, Saturday, February 21st
Noah has been a steady presence in the Dayton music scene since arriving in 2018, known for tasteful groove work on drums and for showing up as part of the core rhythm section at local jazz jams. He also teaches privately and leads his own ensembles around the region, including dates billed as the Noah Ramirez Trio.
Feb. 28 / James Roberts
Jazz Piano @ 5:30pm, Saturday, February 28th
James holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and was honored as a 2024 Presser Scholar for outstanding musical and academic achievement. During his college years, he performed with a variety of ensembles, accompanied vocalists and instrumentalists, and completed a full senior piano recital.
Now back home in the Miami Valley, James serves as a collaborative pianist at Wright State University and also teaches through Star City Music Studios. His playing is expressive, disciplined, and a natural fit for the atmosphere we aim to create at Socialite. And when he is not at the piano, you will often find him behind the bar as one of our baristas.
